Opening of new pavement for Colombo

Having taken into consideration the serious site visitors congestion prevailing in Colombo Fort and Pettah, steps have been taken to assemble network of pavements averting essential roads so that pedestrians ought to walk safely. After work used to be done in the first section of this taskfrom close to Lake House along D.R. Wijewardena
Mawatha in Colombo upto Olcott Mawatha, the President Maithripala Sirisena surpassed it over to the public closing morning (23).

The first section of this development was done through Metro Colombo Urban Development Project under Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development at a cost of Rs. 17 million and labour was supplied by the Sri Lanka Navy. The President who reduce the ribbon then engaged in a surveillance tour at the location and Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka and several others which includes Secretary of Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development were existing on this occasion.
